I had the pleasure of learning about this social program, which with the help of Mónica Liyau is impacting the lives of thousands of children throughout the country. I know first-hand the effort that she and her entire team make in favor of Peruvian children. I want to take the opportunity to invite children, institutions and companies in general to join this initiative, since it is a sport available to everyone. Monica Liyau has the responsibility of giving the country highly competitive athletes by turning her experience in favor of society.

Given the little support from the state for sports practice, it is very important that private initiatives allow the disciplines to become more widespread, ensure that healthy habits are reaching all corners of the country and initiatives such as that of Mónica Liyau and this association that she is creating to take this sport to all of Peru is very important. Table tennis is a sport for all ages, it is a sport that can be practiced both recreationally and competitively, always focusing on social objectives using values ??to achieve them, values ??that the Impactando Vidas program seeks to promote in each of the children .

From the beginning, it was committed to the massification of table tennis nationwide and the results have been more than positive. The implementation of concrete table tennis tables, the provision of sports equipment and technical training for school teachers provide multiple benefits in the integral development of Peruvian children ”.

It is an excellent example of work between private companies, organizations like the one that Mónica is leading in our public schools to ensure that we can give children more opportunities in schools to practice sports ”.

My main job is with the International Table Tennis Federation. I have experience working in Table Tennis in five countries. After five days in Peru watching the work of Mónica Liyau’s association, my personal opinion is that the development of Table Tennis that exists in the country now is the best in the world. I never saw this kind of development in my life. I have a lot of experience, I can be old with this experience but it is incredible, I am very impressed with this work. Congratulations Monica Liyau.

The Impacting Lives Today program reaches one hundred and fifty schools, in ten departments of the country, serving one hundred and fifty thousand students who already practice as a compulsory part, on a regular basis this sporting discipline that has also received an award from the association of Olympic athletes chaired by the Prince of Monaco and that it is a program that is in full swing, with many initiatives and impacting the lives of many Peruvian children and youth.

I imagine myself being a school student, entering my class after an hour of ping pong practice. I would have loved to be in school now, in this year 2018, with all this infrastructure, with all this great motivation. Imagine, a ping pong table in the courtyard of my school and having hours of practice before a subject. Super stimulating ”.

Ping pong is a sport for all ages, it is a sport that can be practiced recreationally as well as competitively, in that sense it seems to me that what Monica is looking for is linked to the effort she is making selflessly and with the central objective of achieving goals social”.
