10 children from different cities of Peru obtained the second International Sports Scholarship for table tennis to train in various High Performance Centers in Buenos Aires – Argentina. The chosen children have been an example to follow for their peers, this trip being an unforgettable and instructive experience in all that this term can imply: educating, cultivating and empowering themselves.
Special mention should be made of the collaboration of the young Luka Luy Liyau, a student at the Franklin Delano Roosevelt School, who was also part of the team of students who traveled to train in this beautiful sport.
The numbers are cold, but the stories behind each of these little ones and the achievement of this dream are warm, moving, heartwarming, and life-transforming. This central chapter is dedicated to our little giants protagonists, each one has infected us with their joy, their tenacity, their innocence and that pure smile that no type of limitation can overshadow.
They have been an example to follow for their colleagues and this trip, more than a prize, has been instructive in all that this term can imply: educate, cultivate and empower themselves.
If you are able to dream it, you are able to achieve it
Today I'm going to get everything that I propose
Do not lower the goal, increase the effort
It's amazing what you can do if you try
The distance between willing and power shortens with training
None of us are as good as all of us put together
A winner is a loser who never gave up
Do not dream of success, work to achieve it
Always do your best and the best will come
The important thing about reaching the goal is what you learn along the way
Special Hosts
Special thanks to our hosts and collaborators who welcomed us to their respective institutions in the beautiful city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Without them the work of daily training, social cultural exchange, media dissemination, transportation, as well as the recreation and awards of children would not have been possible.
